JAARS is actively seeking a candidate to design and develop electronic and mechanical products and systems to support JAARS mission of Covering the Last Mile. As an senior R&D engineer working on the Engineering team, you will develop solutions and products addressing unique transportation, power, and communications challenges faced by JAARS staff and partners working at the Last Mile of Missions.
Position Responsibilities- Develop technical solutions to meet unique transportation, power, and communication needs for those working in remote, hard to reach locations without reliable infrastructure
- Refine existing product designs to satisfy changing requirements and changing JAARS and user needs
- Collaborate with the business development team, contract manufacturers, vendors, and others to transition projects and prototypes into commercial products
- Mentor and coach recent college graduate staff, fellows, and interns investing in them professionally, to build a team that will contribute for many years, and to ensure a God-honoring, professional engineering culture
- A deep and growing walk with the Lord Jesus that includes your personal spiritual growth and the ability to support others in their spiritual growth

- 15+ years of product design and development experience
- Innovative thinker and natural leader
