Support Painting Pandas' mission of bringing art education to classrooms and community spaces by assisting instructors during lessons and community events. Help create an engaging, supportive environment where participants can explore their creativity and develop artistic skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist lead instructors in setting up and organizing art materials before classes and events
- Provide one-on-one guidance to participants who need extra support during art activities
- Help maintain a clean and safe environment by monitoring supply use and assisting with cleanup
- Encourage participant engagement and creativity while following the instructor's lesson plan
- Support community outreach activities in parks and public spaces
- Document activities through photos (when appropriate and permitted)
- Help gather and prepare art supplies for lessons and activities
Ideal Qualities:
- Passion for art education and community engagement
- Patient, encouraging, and supportive demeanor with people of all ages and ability levels
- Reliable and punctual with good time management skills
- Ability to take direction and work collaboratively with lead instructors
- Basic understanding of common art materials and techniques
- Comfortable working with diverse groups in various settings
- Strong communication skills and positive attitude
- Flexibility to adapt to different teaching environments (classroom, outdoor spaces)
Time Commitment:
- Minimum 4 hours per month
- Availability for both weekday and weekend events preferred
- Advance scheduling with consistent commitment to assigned sessions
