Join the City of Mesa for the Mesa-East Valley Martin Luther King, Jr. Parade on Monday, January 20, 2025, in Downtown Mesa. This annual parade will include marching bands, dance troupes, the Buffalo Soldiers, schools, local organizations, community leaders, neighboring towns, elected officials and community leaders.

This event has multiple opportunities to volunteer. We are looking for individuals or groups, able to help with check-in, staging for the parade, helping along the parade route and de-staging at the end of the parade. This year, we are also looking for support with the festival!

All positions are outlined below!

Important information:

  • Volunteers must be 16+ years of age (16-17 with a signed parental consent form).
  • Volunteer work will be conducted outdoors and is subject to inclement weather.
  • Volunteer work will require walking and/or standing for long periods of time (accomodations can be made).
  • Volunteers will meet at the beginning of their shift at the volunteer check-in table.
