We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Volunteer Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for recruiting, training, organizing, and supporting volunteers to ensure that our programs and events run smoothly. The Volunteer Coordinator will work closely with staff and volunteers to foster a positive and productive environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about community engagement and making a meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Volunteer Recruitment:

    • Develop and implement strategies for recruiting new volunteers, including outreach through social media, local events, and community networks.
    • Maintain a database of volunteer applications and manage the recruitment process.
  • Training & Orientation:

    • Organize and lead volunteer orientation sessions, providing necessary training and information on the organization’s mission, policies, and program goals.
    • Ensure that all volunteers understand their roles and responsibilities.
  • Volunteer Scheduling & Coordination:

    • Create and manage volunteer schedules to ensure adequate coverage for programs and events.
    • Communicate with volunteers regarding shifts, duties, and expectations.
  • Support & Supervision:

    • Provide ongoing support and guidance to volunteers during their shifts or events.
    • Resolve conflicts or issues that may arise among volunteers, ensuring a positive experience for all.
  • Recognition & Retention:

    • Implement recognition programs to appreciate and motivate volunteers for their efforts.
    • Track volunteer hours and provide regular feedback to volunteers to encourage long-term engagement.
  • Communication & Reporting:

    • Maintain clear communication with volunteers, staff, and management regarding volunteer needs, event requirements, and any changes in schedules or policies.
    • Provide regular reports on volunteer activities, engagement, and impact to the leadership team.
