My Serenity Sanctuary is a self-care ecosystem and wellness community that empowers Black women and girls with a safe space and abundant resources to focus on their mental, physical, spiritual, and emotional health. Through our programs, projects, and interactive membership community, we make self-care and wellness accessible and inclusive for everyone. Uplifting the minds and hearts of Black women and girls worldwide are at the heart of our mission and vision. Since our founding in 2022, we’ve built impactful programs like the Girls2Great initiative, an annual self-care summit, and an active online community. Your efforts will directly contribute to creating meaningful programs and initiatives that uplift and empower Black women and girls, fostering a community of growth, support, and wellness.

We're looking for an Instructional Designer to create a compelling 8-week curriculum for an upcoming program. You will be responsible for designing and building out the entire curriculum for this 8-week program, ensuring it aligns with My Serenity Sanctuary’s mission. The curriculum should be interactive, user-friendly, and incorporate diverse learning styles to engage participants in both self-paced and facilitated activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with My Serenity Sanctuary leadership to understand program goals and learning objectives.

  • Design a comprehensive, structured 8-week curriculum that includes lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments.

  • Develop content that integrates multimedia elements, such as videos, activities, and handouts, to enhance participant engagement.

  • Ensure the curriculum is culturally relevant, inclusive, and aligned with My Serenity Sanctuary’s focus on empowering Black women and girls.

  • Create facilitator guides and participant materials that can be used for both virtual and in-person sessions.

  • Revise and refine the curriculum based on feedback from My Serenity Sanctuary leadership and stakeholders.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an instructional designer or curriculum developer.

  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and various instructional design models.

  • Experience developing content for diverse audiences preferred.

  • Ability to create engaging, interactive content using multimedia tools.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently and manage deadlines.
