About Operation Meraki:

Role Summary:
Operation Meraki is building a dedicated Volunteer Outreach Team to support volunteers' recruitment, engagement, and retention. As a team member, you will work under the direction of the Volunteer Outreach Coordinator to connect with potential volunteers, assist with onboarding, and strengthen our volunteer network.
Responsibilities:
- Support outreach efforts by sharing volunteer opportunities through social media, email campaigns, and community events.
- Help identify and engage with potential volunteers through online platforms (e.g., VolunteerMatch, Idealist).
- Assist in organizing and participating in virtual or in-person recruitment events.
- Welcome new volunteers by providing information about Operation Meraki’s mission, programs, and expectations.
- Track outreach efforts and provide feedback to the Volunteer Outreach Coordinator.
- Promote a positive volunteer experience by maintaining regular communication with current volunteers and gathering feedback.
Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Enthusiasm for networking and connecting with others.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and email communication tools.
- Passion for supporting veterans and working in a collaborative team environment.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently on assigned tasks.
- No prior experience is required-training will be provided.
