All dates are required. Exact dates are posted on the Caring Contact website: www.caringcontact.org. The training will follow a hybrid schedule with in person classes located in the Westfield, NJ, area.
Participants receive 43 hours of comprehensive training by nationally certified instructors in active listening and Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training. Volunteers develop the ability to listen actively, assess the needs of someone in crisis and provide empathy and support. There is a fee for class materials.
