In celebration of the 2025 Martin Luther King Jr. National Day of Service on Monday, January 20th, 2025, we are excited to announce The Beloved Community Empowerment Fair.
This fair aims to serve the community by providing a comprehensive and interactive workshop that provides attendees with pratical knowledge, resources, and tools to enhance their career development, financial literacy, health and well-being.
We are looking for volunteers skilled and experienced in Career Development.
As a Career Development expert, you will:
- Provide practical advice on creating a compelling LinkedIn profile
- Review guests' resumes and offer improvement tips
- Share job search strategies and best practices
- Guides attendees on creating impactful cover letters
- Offer insights on interview techniques, professional skill development, etc.
Volunteer Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in career development or a related field
- Availibility to commit to a minimum 2-hour shift on Monday, January 20th, 2025
- Submission of a current resume detailing relvant work experience

Description
Established in 1968 by Mrs. Coretta Scott King, The Martin Luther King, Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change ("The King Center") has been a global destination, resource center and community institution for over a quarter century.The King Center is a 501(c)3. Nearly a million people each year make pilgrimage to the National Historic Site to learn, be inspired and pay their respects to Dr. King’s legacy.
The King Center is repositioning to meet the challenges and opportunities of today. Squarely-focused on serving as both a local and global resource, the King Center is dedicated to educating the world on the life, legacy and teachings of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., inspiring new generations to carry forward his unfinished work, strengthen causes and empower change-makers who are continuing his efforts today.
