Carpe Librum will be popping up in Hook Hall for a fundraising book sale on Sunday December 22nd We will need volunteers to help us set up and break down the tables and bookshelves for this fundraising event. This is a great opportunity to spend an hour or two supporting positive educational outcomes for DC public school students.
Can you lend a hand?
- The shift is from 9am-10am, helping to set up the tables and shelve books according to category.
- You'll be a great fit for this opportunity if you're comfortable working outside, and can bend, reach higher shelves, and lift heavy boxes.
(By the way, we’re not just any bookstore: we’re a fundraising bookstore! Carpe Librum collects donated books, CDs, and DVDs to support the DC nonprofit Turning the Page.)

Turning the Page currently partners with schools in Ward 7 and Ward 8 of Washington, DC.
