We could use help in creating a reminder system for meetings held on Zoom.
Participants register on Zoom, and we would like to send a customized email twice (a week ahead and two days ahead) in advance of each meeting. We have figured out the authentication and how to use the Zoom API to get meeting information in JSON format. We have also figured out how to send mails from a script. The next step is to pull this together into a working system.
Existing software:
- Runs on Ubuntu using Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) - so either WSL or pure Linux soluntion is just fine
- Existing software is writen in Bash and AWK, using Curl to extract data, but if you prefer Python, we could certainly deal with that.
This is a project that should just take a couple of weeks for someone who can focus on it.

Mission Statement
The GFO exists to promote genealogy and to provide genealogical education, to preserve and provide genealogical and historical resources, and to compile and publish within the genealogical community.
Description
The Genealogical Forum of Oregon (GFO) is the largest genealogical society in the Pacific Northwest, serving Oregon, Washington, Alaska, and Idaho. The organization was founded in 1946, and since then has operated as an all-volunteer organization. There has never been a paid staff member in our 78-year history. We operate the largest genealogical library in the Pacific Northwest.
Our Purposes
- To provide robust educational opportunities.
- To serve as a regional resource of genealogical information not geographically limited to the Pacific Northwest.
- To provide convenient access to a broad range of historical resources for genealogical research in a variety of forms.
- To identify and satisfy specific research needs, based on input from Library users.
- To provide a safe and welcoming community for anyone interested in pursuing their family history.
The GFO Research Library has more than 54,000 holdings for all of the United States and many locations around the world, with particular strengths in the Pacific Northwest, Virginia, and French Canada. We provide access to many popular subscription genealogy websites and we are working to provide digital access to a growing collection of materials while supporting our members wherever they live.
