We are so excited to host our annual Las Posadas Celebration at El Centro de la Raza's Centilia Cultural Center (1660 S Roberto Maestas Festival St, Seattle, WA 98144) on Friday, December 13! We need help with set-up, refreshments, greeting, raffle tickets, photographers, and more! We would love to have your help.
Volunteer Duties Include:
~SET-UP (12-2pm): Helping prepare for the Las Posadas Market; setting up tables and chairs, helping vendors unload merchandise; Spanish ability helpful
~GREETERS (4:30-7pm): Helping guests find their way throughout the festival and pass out information related to the celebration as needed. May also assist with collecting donations!
~FOOD SERVICE VOLUNTEERS (4:30-7pm): Helping with preparing and attending the refreshments stand, featuring hot chocolate and pan dulce, as well as assisting with the community meal of pozole! Must be able to lift heavy pots of delicious chocolate.
~CHILDREN'S ACTIVITIES (4:30-7pm): Assist the children's activities table, which may include Dia de los Muertos themed art projects, and face painting!
~PHOTOGRAPHERS (4:30-7pm): Taking high-quality photos of the event; either the marketplace or the performances.
~PARKING LOT MONITORING (4:30-7pm): Keeping watch in the North Parking Lot to ensure that vendors know where to go and guests know to park on the street
~CLEAN-UP (7-8:30pm)

- This is a Done in a Day opportunity and there is no prior training or ongoing commitment needed.
- Must be at least 14
