"Nepal Festival" is our annual cultural event to showcase live music and dances from different ethnic groups of Nepal and the Himalayan region. Besides, it is also an opportunity to explore Nepalese arts, crafts, and cuisines. The goal of this event is to create a platform for local artists and the general public to learn and perform Nepalese music and dances as well as educate, engage, and inspire the community to foster intercultural understanding and appreciation.

For this event, we are looking for volunteers to help in

- Host (MC) for the event
- Dance/Music Performance (Do you play any musical instruments? Would like to accompany them? Would like to perform a dance?)
- Guest Services (Registration, Sign up, Raffle Sale, etc.)
- Stage Management (Stage Decoration, Sound System Management, Artist Coordination)
- Photography/Videography
- Writing, Design
- Logistics Management
- General Volunteering

DABULI aims to advance deeper understanding and strengthening of rich music, arts & cultural heritage of Nepal and the Himalayan region to build strong intercultural communities. It does this through research, performance, celebration, advocacy as well as through other relevant collaborative opportunities.

Description

  • To facilitate music and culture workshops; offer lectures and residencies; collaborate and perform music, arts and cultural heritage of Nepal and Himalayan region with those from other communities.
  • To educate, engage and inspire the community to foster intercultural understanding and appreciation through high quality, meaningful, and accessible musical and cultural collaboration.
  • To provide a platform for musicians, artists and researchers to research, perform, promote, network and sustain activities related to music, arts, and culture.
  • To support social and humanitarian causes through all forms of arts.
