Be a part of making the holidays special for a festive day of fun for children and families impacted by the January floods!
Support San Diego flood relief and recovery by volunteering at a Christmas toy giveaway with music, activities for kids, and fun for flood survivors. Volunteers will be distributing toys, clothing, and other goods to families.
Opportunity Requirements & Important Notes
Attire: Closed-toe shoes and comfortable clothing. Volunteers are encouraged to dress festively (red or green shirts/sweaters & aprons). Ugly holiday theme sweaters are welcome! This opportunity takes place both indoors and outdoors.
Bring: Water bottle and snack, if needed.
Physical Requirements: There are no physical requirements. This project is able to make accommodations for individuals with physical limitations. The site is ADA and wheelchair accessible.
Weather: The project will take place rain or shine.

The San Diego Regional Community Recovery Team (RCRT) is a program of San Diego Volunteer Organizations Active in Disaster (SDVOAD). The Regional Community Recovery Team is a network of nonprofit, government, community and faith-based organizations active in disaster recovery. Collectively, RCRT forms the infrastructure of disaster recovery services for the San Diego region.

The Community Recovery Team Is comprised of community-led recovery representatives and agencies active in long-term recovery. The Regional Community Recovery Team (RCRT) is a network of non-profit, community-based organizations (CBOs), faith-based organizations (FBOs) and governmental agencies active in disaster recovery, operating in San Diego County, the fifth largest county in the United States. Collectively, we form the infrastructure of disaster recovery services for the San Diego region. We are dedicated individuals with a common goal. We are determined to assist those that suffer financial and/or personal loss during and after a natural disaster. A Board of advisers comprised of CRT leadership guides the RCRT. Collectively, we form the infrastructure of disaster recovery services for the San Diego region. We are dedicated individuals with a common goal. We are determined to assist those that suffer financial and/or personal loss during and after a natural disaster.
