Are you interested in volunteering in a fun and historical gift shop? Look no further! We need cashiers for the spring and summer (this is our slower season) and our Holiday Market which runs from October - December every year. Our Holiday Market has over 90 local vendors, and brings in around 8000 shoppers!
No register experience needed. We will train you.

The mission of the Shaker Heritage Society is to strengthen our community through educational programs and historic preservation focused on the Shaker ideals of sustainability, equality, compassion, cooperation, and the pursuit of a meaningful life.
Description
Shaker Heritage Society offers a wide variety of educational programs including school programs that meet numerous New York State Learning Standards, programs for senior citizens, outreach programs, lectures, craft workshops, and guided tours. All of our programs can be modified to meet the needs and interests of diverse audiences of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds. The Society’s annual craft fairs in July, September, and Christmas have become a community tradition that supports local craft artisans while also providing opportunities to learn more about Shaker history and the Watervliet site. In addition to craft fairs and fun educational activities for kids, Shaker Heritage Society offers one of the most beautiful barn wedding venues in Albany. With corporate retreat facilities, handmade gift shops and plenty of social activities for seniors, there’s something for everyone.
