Join us on Martin Luther King Jr. Day to restore a habitat at the White Point Nature Preserve!
Why: You will help care for the White Point Native Plant Demonstration Garden! Your efforts will help restore this habitat for wildlife as well as create a beautiful place for the community to enjoy!
Who: The Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy (PVPLC) preserves land and restores habitats for the education and enjoyment of all.
What to Expect:
Planting native shrubs, removing invasive weeds, watering native plants, grooming trails and more.
What's Required:
Volunteers must wear closed-toe shoes and be sure to bring drinking water. Sun protection and long pants are recommended.
We encourage you to arrive early. The check-in desk will be open starting at 8:30 AM
Please note that in order to participate all volunteers under 18 must have a parent or guardian sign and complete their waiver online or bring the printed copy to the event. Volunteers under 16 should be accompanied by an adult.

Description
The Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy (PVPLC) manages over 1600 acres of open space on the Palos Verdes Peninsula, and two nature centers with native plant demonstration gardens. The PVPLC engages volunteers in the development and maintenance of native plant gardens in order to demonstrate how gardening with native plants is beneficial for the environment.
