We are seeking volunteers that would be able to visit our patients in Fairfield, New Haven, Litchfield, Tolland, Middlesex, and Hartford Counties. Compassus volunteers make a positive difference in the lives of our patients.

As we serve a vast area of Connecticut, we match volunteers with patients close to their home. Many of our patients live in skilled nursing facilities, but we also serve those being cared for in their private homes.

Volunteers help our patients by providing them support through simple companionship, reading to them, playing music, watching TV, and most importantly listening to their life story.
We ask that our volunteers commit to working at least two hours a month.

Direct Patient Support Volunteers may make their visits flexible to fit their schedule Monday-Sunday during the hours of 8:00am-8:00pm. The length of visit times will vary depending on the needs of the patients. Administrative Volunteers may make their own schedule within office hours Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

WE ARE IN SPECIAL NEED OF PET THERAPISTS, MUSIC THERAPIST, MUSICIANS, LICENSED HAIRSTYLIST/BARBER, AND LICENSED MASSAGE THERAPISTS WHO CAN SHARE THEIR TALENTS WITH OUR PATIENTS.

WE ARE ALSO IN NEED OF PEOPLE WHO WOULD KNIT/CROCHET PRAYER SHAWLS AND/OR BLANKETS FOR OUR PATIENTS.

Please give our office a call at (203) 301-0489 or send an email to Denise.Giattina@Compassus.com for further information.

Thank you!
