Astella Hospice is seeking individuals to serve as compassionate friend, offering emotional support, companionship and a listening ear to patients during their final journey. In this role, the volunteer creates a comforting presence, whether by sharing stories, listening to memories, holding a hand or simply sitting quietly. It is not about providing medical care but about being a source of kindness, connection, and understanding, bringing moments of joy and peace to the patient and their loved ones. This meaningful bond will enrich the lives of the volunteer and the patient.

Description
Astella Hospice is a Texas based hospice agency that serves Central and South Texas communities. Astella provides hospice care to persons who have a limited life expectancy measure in months rather than years. The team is here to help answer questions and to help you make informed decisions about you or your loved one’s care. The goal is to provide compassionate, person-centered care to our patients and family members. Astella Hospice understands the uncertainty that accompanies these difficult times.
