Volunteers are essential to the success of the Lee County LITERACY COALITION. We need individuals willing to encourage others, share positivity and make new, fulfilling connections. Provide one-to-one tutoring for adult learners in reading, math, writing, and GED preparation. Training is provided; no prior experience is necessary.

Mission Statement
The mission of the Lee County Literacy Coalition is to help adults learn to read, write, and use mathematics at a level necessary to succeed and thrive.
Description
Imagine for a moment how you would present to the world if you could not READ. With just an hour a week, you can change the world for someone working to improve their literacy. By increasing adult literacy rates, we positively affect poverty, K-12 test scores, economic prosperity, emotional and physical health, and other social issues. LCLC will provide Basic Tutor training, learning material and all the support you need. Become a difference maker to improve literacy rates in Lee County and surrounding areas.
