Overview:
Join us for a single-day volunteer opportunity as a Virtual Math Tutor for Algebra 1. This role is perfect for high school seniors, college students, graduates, or adults looking to share their knowledge and help students enhance their math skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct virtual tutoring sessions using platforms like Zoom or Google Meet.
  • Guide students through Algebra 1 concepts, homework, and test preparation.
  • Review the student’s class notes and problem-solving strategies to ensure understanding and retention.
  • Promote effective study habits and monitor academic progress.

Session Timing:

  • Available for tutoring from 3:30 PM to 10 PM, December to May/June, Sunday through Friday. Volunteer for 1-5 days per week, based on your availability.

Ideal Candidates:

  • Should have proficiency in Algebra 1 or higher-level mathematics.
  • Must possess patience and strong communication skills.
  • Comfortable with virtual tutoring and capable of motivating students.

Community Center & Sportsplex, is a 501c3 nonprofit academic, arts & athletic center for youth & families founded on Christian principles, and is dedicated to instilling in each member that they have been specifically chosen by God to do magnificent things! Located in the heart of Jackson, NJ, we specialize in improving the self esteem of youth and families in surrounding suburban as well as underrepresented and underprivileged communities, while promoting integrity and stewardship, and offering, to youth in our surrounding states from Maine to North Carolina, an innovative opportunity to train, excel, and compete academically, artistically, and athletically.
