Volunteers are needed to provide Companionship Visits to our patients in the Taunton/Bridgewater area!

What volunteers can do with patients:

  • Provide companionship and socialization
  • Provide comfort and emotional support
  • Read a book
  • Watch a movie or a show
  • Play games
  • Listen to music
  • Help with an activity
  • And more...!

We also have several patients who would benefit from just having a volunteer be there for them and be present.

Hospice Philosophy
Hospice provides palliative support and care for persons in the last phases of incurable disease so that they may live as fully and as comfortable as possible. Hospice recognizes dying as part of the normal process of living and focuses on maintaining the quality of remaining life. Hospice affirms life and neither hastens nor postpones death. Hospice exists in the hope and belief that through appropriate care, and the promotion of a caring community sensitive to their needs, patients and their families may be free to attain a degree of mental, social, physical, and spiritual preparation for death that is satisfactory to them.
