Job Description:
We seek a dynamic Social Media Manager to amplify our online presence and engage with our global community. As a part-time volunteer, you can work remotely while collaborating closely with our marketing team to enhance STEM Canada's digital footprint. Your expertise in social media strategy,
content creation and audience engagement will be pivotal in promoting our
mission and expanding our reach.
Location: Remote
Start Date: Immediate
Time Commitment: 4 hours per week
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement social media strategies to increase visibility and engagement across platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
- Create, curate, and manage published content (images, video, written) that aligns with STEM Canada's brand and objectives.
- Monitor, listen, and respond to users in a "Social" way while cultivating leads and sales.
- Analyze key metrics and tweak strategy as needed to optimize performance.
- Collaborate with the content team to ensure consistency in messaging and branding.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest social media best practices and technologies.
- Participate in weekly meetings to discuss strategies, performance, and new initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in social media management and content creation.
- Proficiency in using social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer).
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Creative mindset with the ability to generate innovative ideas.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Passion for STEM education and advocacy.
