The STEM program is open to all students from preschool to high school, with a mission to deliver top-notch STEM literacy and application, preparing students for globally competitive results.

Position Overview:

We are seeking passionate and dedicated professionals from the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields to join our esteemed International STEM Ambassador program. As a volunteer ambassador, you will play a crucial role in inspiring and guiding the next generation of STEM professionals.

Location: Remote

Start Time: Immediate

Time Commitment: 4 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

  • Career guidance: Sharing knowledge, experiences, and creating enthusiasm for STEM subjects, and providing advice on studying and pursuing careers in STEM fields.
  • Activity organization: Planning and delivering workshops, boot camps, and other STEM-related activities for students.
  • School visits: Engaging with students in schools to demonstrate real-world applications of STEM subjects.
  • Teacher support: Assisting educators with up-to-date information about STEM fields and helping students recognize the value of STEM knowledge in daily and professional life.
  • Flexible commitment: Participating in at least one STEM-related activity per year, with opportunities ranging from short talks to organizing workshops or supporting out-of-hours clubs.
  • Professional development: Enhancing personal skills such as communication, presentation, and confidence through volunteering.
  • Community engagement: Participating in career fairs, science festivals, and other community events to raise awareness about STEM careers.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in a STEM-related field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) is essential, and advanced degrees (Master's or Ph.D.) in a STEM discipline, education, or a related field are preferred for higher-level ambassadorial roles.
  • Global Mindset: Familiarity with international STEM challenges and opportunities. Ability to adapt messaging and programs to diverse cultural and geographic contexts. Experience working with multicultural teams or communities.
  • Networking and Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills to build partnerships with global organizations, educators, and policymakers. Proven ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including government agencies, non-profits, and the private sector.
  • Technical and Digital Proficiency: Familiarity with digital platforms, social media, and online learning tools to promote STEM initiatives globally and knowledge of the latest technological trends and innovations in STEM fields.
