Recruiting Organization: Nova Ukraine

Nova Ukraine's Social Media team is seeking a passionate and skilled volunteer to join our team as an IG/TikTok Reels Editor. In this role, you will coordinate with various teams to receive video content and optimize it for different platforms, specifically Instagram Reels and TikTok. Your creative mindset and technical expertise will be crucial in ensuring our video content reaches our target audience effectively. Our small team takes on a variety of projects to help communicate with donors, raise funds, and build awareness about our organization and about Ukraine.

Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of work experience
• Proficiency in video editing
• Strong understanding of Instagram Reels and TikTok platforms, including their respective formats, features, and audience preferences.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively coordinate with diverse teams.
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain brand consistency throughout video content.
• Creative mindset with a keen eye for visual aesthetics and storytelling.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.

This volunteer must be willing to attending 4 pm PST team meetings on Wednesdays.

Responsibilities:

Content Coordination:

• Collaborate with different teams (SM team, marketing, project-specific teams, etc.) to gather video content with the full story details and objectives.
• Liaise with team members to receive raw video footage, graphic elements, and other assets required for video production.
• Maintain effective communication channels to receive timely updates on new video content needs.

Video Optimization:

• Analyze content requirements and tailor video content for specific platforms, primarily Instagram Reels and TikTok.
• Edit and format videos to optimize engagement, considering platform-specific trends, features, and guidelines.
• Ensure videos are visually appealing, have concise storytelling, and effectively communicate the intended message effectively.

Quality Control and Delivery:

• Review and proofread videos for quality, accuracy, and adherence to brand guidelines.
• Collaborate with team members to incorporate feedback and make necessary revisions.
• Export and deliver final videos in appropriate formats, resolutions, and dimensions for the designated platforms.

Would be a plus: Ukrainian, Russian languages

Working terms: This position is fully remote requiring 5-10 hours of work per week.
