Project Overview: We are seeking a dedicated volunteer with direct experience in Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) and Microsoft Access to assist in designing and creating a database for our program. This is a finite project expected to start in January and last for approximately three months. (8h a week) The role is remote, with bi-weekly meetings on Wednesdays.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with our team to understand the program's data requirements and workflows.
- Design and develop a Microsoft Access database to support our program's backend operations.
- Ensure the database is user-friendly, efficient, and scalable.
- Provide documentation and training on how to use the new database.
- Attend bi-weekly remote meetings on Wednesdays to discuss progress and address any issues.
Requirements:
- Proven experience with RDBMS and Microsoft Access.
- Strong understanding of database design principles and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
- Good communication skills for effective collaboration with the team.
