The Meditation and Yoga Instructor will deliver engaging online classes to support the Inner City Bliss Meditation Collective's goal of promoting wellness and mindfulness within BIPOC communities. This volunteer role requires a passionate individual who can lead various meditation and yoga sessions tailored to students of all levels. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in mindfulness practices and a commitment to creating an inclusive and empowering environment.
Responsibilities:- Lead online meditation and yoga classes, focusing on mindfulness and stress reduction
- Develop and adapt session plans to cater to different skill levels and needs of participants
- Create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all participants
- Educate participants about the benefits of meditation and yoga practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to engage with a diverse range of participants and adapt teaching methods
- Passion for promoting wellness and empowerment, particularly within BIPOC communities
- Willing to volunteer time and expertise to advance the mission of the organization

The primary goal of Inner City Bliss (ICB) is to create holistic wellness and empowerment within BIPOC communities in Oakland. We strive to create a supportive and inclusive environment where individuals and families can overcome systemic barriers, heal from generational trauma, and build resilience. By offering innovative programs in mindfulness, physical activity, nature outings, and community gardening, we aim to support the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of our members.
