Help someone in need this holiday season.
The holiday season is a time for tradition, festivities and family. It’s also a time for giving. This year, you can give a meaningful gift that helps people through some of life’s toughest moments. Your community's need for volunteers remains critical and constant during the holiday season. Consider giving the gift of time by getting involved with the Red Cross through one of our urgently needed volunteer positions:
Disaster Action Team (in person): Respond to local disasters, such as home fires, to ensure that those affected have access to resources for necessities such as food, shelter, and clothing.
Disaster Action Team Duty Officer (virtual): Play a key role in local disater responses by coordinating the response of volunteers to the scene to support clients. Volunteers in this role virtually liaise with first responders, clients, and our Disaster Action Team ensuring clients receive Red Cross support in a timely manner.
Recovery Client Care (virtual): Support disaster-caused needs of individuals and families with casework and recovery planning by matching Red Cross and community resources and assistance to these needs.
