Earth Shine in Shandon (March 2025)
ORGANIZATION: EARTH SHINE
Please visit the new page to apply.
Each month Earth Shine hosts a Cleanup Event on the Second Saturday of the month in a different Central Coast community. These events are a great way to work together as a community to help the places we call home look their best.
We supply everything you'll need to make an impact including grabbers, bags, safety vests and gloves, and we even dispose of all we collect. All we're missing is you and your desire to be part of the solution to litter in our open spaces, streets, and waterways in the communities we call home.
And in 2025 we are excited to announce that we'll even be treating all of our volunteers to a light lunch at the conclusion of each event. Usually this will be in the form of pizza and sodas, but occasionally we mix it up with delicious street tacos.
We do advise that volunteers wear long pants, closed-toed shoes, a hat and/or sunscreen, and to bring water to stay hydrated.
All individuals and groups are welcome to attend, but we do recommend RSVPing to the event you're attending or to contact Mike Campa (805) 591-4691 so we can be prepared for your group size.
Hope to see you soon!

Mission Statement
The mission of Earth Shine is to conduct volunteer cleanup events on the Central Coast of California in areas of need to prevent litter from contaminating soils, waterways, and habitats and to preserve the natural beauty of the environment.
Description
Earth Shine was formed in 2016 to create opportunities for concerned citizens to clean up in the areas they call home. Since our inception we have hosted nearly 200 events and have picked up over 150,000 pounds of litter. We host events every Second Saturday of the month in a different Central Coast community, every Third Saturday of the month at the River Walk in Paso Robles, and we are also available for private events for businesses, groups, and organizations to host cleanup events in areas of their choosing. We supply everything you'll need including grabbers, bags, safety vests and gloves, and we dispose of all we collect. In addition to these events, we also provide an opportunity for community service hours as we conduct our monthly cleanups on nine adopted sections (streets, roads, highways) in the Paso Robles area, as well as various cleanup efforts across the Central Coast.
