Mesa Community College presents New Guard Big Band
Dec 17 2024 at 7 pm at MCC Performing Arts Center
The New Guard Big Band is Phoenix’s premier jazz orchestra, comprised of the most talented and in-demand musicians in the Valley. Focusing primarily on the works of Count Basie and his Famous Orchestra, this 17-piece ensemble (managed and rehearsed by Kevin Tangney) is a musical freight train full of swagger and swing.
Volunteer Information:
- Greet and direct the public inside the facility.
- Take tickets at the Performing Art Venues.
- Hand out programs.
- Help at the end of the performance to pick up programs and tickets from the auditorium.
Dress code:
Please wear black slacks, closed toed shoes and button up shirt/polo.
Jeans and T-shirts are NOT ALLOWED.
When you are done with volunteer duties before the show starts you get to see the performance for free

Description
Mesa Community College has two performance venues at the Southern and Dobson campus. These performance venues host the Theatre & Film Arts productions, Musica Theatre, Instrumental Music and Dance events for the college as well as space for college seminars for students and public.
