Are you looking for a way to spend your time that helps someone else? Do you enjoy sewing, crocheting, or knitting? Then ACG Hospice needs you. We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers to help make lap blankets, comfort shawls, and/or twiddle muffs for our patients. Twiddle muffs and lap blankets are an excellent gift for our patients with memory loss or dementia/Alzheimer’s. These patients get very anxious at times and often pick at their skin, pull their hair, etc. Twiddle muffs and/or lab blankets give them something to do with their hands instead. These crafts can be done on your own time. Please contact the Volunteer Manager for more information on how you can start volunteering.
All volunteers must attend orientation but can be done virtually. You decide the number of hours you can dedicate each week or month. No travel involved.
