Not everyone has family members or friends who can be present towards the end of their life. We are looking for hospice vigil volunteers, this is a person who offers comfort in a time of distress and relief to those in their final stages of life. Volunteers can have a calming effect on patients by simply just sitting bedside.

Vigil volunteers ensure that the person is not alone in their final moments and that they feel safe and secure. Volunteers can also give the family short respite from the situation.

Hospice vigil volunteers offer emotional support to the person near the end of their life by reading to them, listening to their stories, or holding their hand.

Enhabit's volunteer coordinator provides the volunteer with orientation & training. The volunteer coordinator provides ongoing support to volunteers.

Enhabit has a great volunteer team, please join us!! Reach out today to learn more!!
