Description: Thaddeus Resource Center is seeking a dynamic and experienced Product Owner to join its team. The Product Owner will be responsible for defining and prioritizing the features and functionality of various products and services to meet the needs of clients and stakeholders. They will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality solutions that align with the organization's mission and objectives.

**The responsibilities for this role are performed 100% remotely. **

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with prospective users and clients to understand and anticipate their needs and translate them into product requirements

  • Defining the vision for the team’s product

  • Creating a product roadmap based on this vision

  • Managing the product backlog and prioritizing them based on changing requirements

  • Overseeing all stages of product creation including design and development

  • Developing user stories

  • Monitoring and evaluating product progress at each stage of the process

  • Liaising with the product team and end-users to deliver updates

  • Participating in Scrum meetings and product sprints

R equirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, information technology, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Product Owner or similar role, preferably in a nonprofit or social services organization.

  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, with experience working in Agile environments and using tools such as Jira or Trello.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

  • Proven ability to translate business needs and user requirements into clear and actionable product plans and specifications.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize competing demands and make data-driven decisions.

  • Knowledge of user experience (UX) design principles and practices is a plus.

  • Experience in the social services sector or working with vulnerable populations is desirable but not required.

Time commitment:

  • 5 hrs/week including mandatory meetings

  • 1-year minimum

  • Must be available for the following VIRTUAL weekly meetings:

    • All staff meetings: Tuesdays 9 AM - 10 AM PST

    • Tech dept meetings: Thursdays 9 AM - 11 AM PST
