About the Role:
As a Virtual Case Management Professional Mentor in the Programs Department, your primary focus will be on mentoring and guiding our case management staff and interns. Your expertise and support will contribute to their professional development, enhance their skills, and empower them to excel in their roles. By fostering a positive learning environment, you’ll play a crucial role in our mission of restoring hope and transforming lives.
Responsibilities:
Mentorship and Guidance:
Provide one-on-one mentoring to case management staff and interns.
Share insights, best practices, and practical knowledge related to case management.
Help them navigate complex client situations and develop effective strategies.
Case Management Skills Development:
Assist in training case managers on core competencies such as assessment, goal-setting, and resource coordination.
Review case files and provide constructive feedback.
Client-Centered Approach:
Emphasize client empowerment, active listening, and empathy.
Guide case managers in building strong relationships with clients.
Ethical Practices:
Reinforce ethical standards in case management.
Discuss confidentiality, boundaries, and professional conduct.
Collaboration and Teamwork:
Work closely with the Programs Department team.
Participate in case conferences and interdisciplinary meetings.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related studies
3-5+ years’ experience as a Case Manager or Social Worker in a related field.
Proficiency in utilizing community resources and social services.
Familiarity with community resources and social services.
Must possess strong communication skills.
Ability to communicate effectively and empathetically.
Skilled in active listening and providing constructive feedback to clients and team members.
Time Commitment:
Must be available for a minimum of 5 hours per week (flexible scheduling).
Must be available for the following virtual weekly meetings:
Weekly All Staff Meeting : Tuesdays 9 AM - 10 AM
Weekly Programs Department Meeting : 1 0:30 AM - 2:30 PM PST (with an hour lunch between 12 PM - 1 PM)

Must be able to commit at least 1 year to this position
