UCHRA delivers non-perishable food to each county on a rotating basis. Behind the scenes, volunteers sort and bag the items for distribution. We distribute commodities to each county every other month. Volunteers play a crucial role in ensuring these events run smoothly by completing client forms and loading items into vehicles. These distribution events are ongoing, and volunteers are welcome to participate as often as they like! With distributions occurring in all 14 Upper Cumberland counties, there are plenty of opportunities to get involved close to home. Grab your friends, your family, or your coworkers and volunteer to assist with one of UCHRA’s commodities distribution events! The Upper Cumberland Human Resource Agency (UCHRA) was established by the Tennessee General Assembly in 1973 to be the delivery system for human resources in the 14 counties of the region: Cannon, Clay, Cumberland, DeKalb, Fentress, Jackson, Macon, Overton, Pickett, Putnam, Smith, Van Buren, Warren, and White.
