About VILLAGE SEEDS MENTORING SERVICES - VSMS

Location:

Virtual Office, CHESAPEAKE, VA 23321, US

Mission Statement

Our Mission is to create safer and stronger communities through mentorship -- by partnering caring, and committed adults with our youth. We aim to serve as a source for empowerment and support to teens and young adults in the community.

Description

Village Seeds Mentoring Services (VSMS) was founded by Pamela Joyner; and is a Virginia based, 501c(3) non-profit public charity organization. While working with at-risk teens at an intensive in-home counseling and group home agency, the founder recognized that there was a huge need for mentoring services. However, there was a lack of available mentoring organizations in the community. Therefore, VSMS was established in 2019 for the purpose of being a source of help for guiding youth to being productive, responsible and respectful citizens. We are dedicated to supporting youth development and creating safer and stronger communities, through mentoring and life skills training services, to teens and young adults, ages 14-20. Components of our mentoring offerings include
1:1 & Group Mentoring, Life Skills, Financial Literacy, Adulting 101, Community Services projects and more.
