Position Overview:
The Rehabilitation Medicine Teaching Assistant supports faculty in teaching introductory courses on physical therapy, rehabilitation techniques, and patient recovery processes.
Location: Remote
Start Time: Jan 6, 2025
Time Commitment: 2 to 6 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Simulation Support: Assist in conducting virtual simulations focused on physical therapy techniques and rehabilitation strategies for patients.
- Teaching Support: Facilitate online discussions, and group activities, and assist with course materials related to rehabilitation exercises, mobility techniques, and therapy planning.
- Grading: Grade assignments, quizzes, and exams, and maintain student records.
- Student Assistance: Provide clarification and support for students’ understanding of rehabilitation principles and physiotherapy techniques.
- Resource Development: Help develop educational materials related to rehabilitation, including case studies and therapy protocols.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Rehabilitation Medicine, Physiotherapy, or a related field; graduate students preferred.
- Strong understanding of rehabilitation principles and techniques.
- Previous teaching or tutoring experience is a plus.
- Ability to communicate complex medical concepts in an accessible manner.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
