Join us on December 7th from 9 AM - Noon for our monthly community river clean-up! Come work outdoors with like-minded members of the community to help remove thousands of pounds of trash in just three hours!
Each year, San Diego River Park Foundation volunteers remove more than 200,000 pounds of trash from our namesake waterway. Without our community, this trash would be left to pollute native animal habitats, parks and public spaces, leach contaminants into the water, and wash out into our ocean and beaches!
Location: Mast Park in Santee
Park & Meet: Mast Park lower gravel lot - 9125 Carlton Hills Blvd, Santee, CA 92071. Please note that parking can be tight on the weekends so plan some extra time. It’s very easy to miss the turn-off to the gravel lot, it is the very first right turn after coming in off the street, and kind of looks like a small walkway but is a fully paved driveway. There are yellow boom gates which mark the driveway.
Here are a few tips to help you prepare for the event:
- Check-In: 8:45 AM
- Attire: Long pants and closed-toe shoes are required
- All tools and supplies will be provided
- Items to Bring: Reusable water bottle, hat, other forms of sun protection

- Ages 16+
- If you would like to sign up as a group, please email us at volunteer@sandiegoriver.org, or have each member of your group sign up individually.
