Hello! We are hosting a Christmas Event and will need volunteers to assist in a variety of areas. In the spirit of giving back, we are looking forward to bringing the community together at our last event of the year.
Why: We are planning on serving 500-700 families at this event.
Who: Heart of Compassion's mission is to be a lighthouse of volunteers fighting poverty and restoring hope.
What to Expect:
We are hopeful and anticipate that our event will be wholesome, vibrant, interactive, and purposeful. We look forward to meeting you!
Volunteers are asked to be friendly with our guests and flexible as they may be assigned to different areas and groups may be split up.
We will need volunteers to assist in a variety of areas:
Traffic security
Registration team
Food distribution team
Toy distribution team
Other areas.
What's Required:
We recommend that volunteers wear comfortable shoes.
Volunteers must be at least 13 years old.

Description
Heart of Compassion is dedicated to being a lighthouse of hope and help for Montebello and our local communities. We rely on our valuable volunteers to help us achieve our mission of Fighting Hunger and Feeding Hope. We currently provide loads of groceries for about 600 families weekly at our public food distributions.
Mondays 9a.m.-12p.m.: volunteers needed to bag produce
Tuesdays and Wednesdays 8-11a.m.: volunteers needed to register recipients
Tuesdays and Wednesdays 9a.m.-12p.m.: volunteers needed to load groceries into shopping carts and recipient vehicles
