Biology Teacher s Assist:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Biology Teacher to join our team and
provide expert instruction to students studying the microscopic structure of tissues. The ideal
candidate will have a strong background in histology and excellent teaching skills.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in lectures to support the lead instructor and engage with students.
- Lead small group sessions on specific biology topics to enhance student
understanding.
- Organize and set up teaching materials for labs and classroom activities.
- Provide dedicated time for students to ask questions and seek help.
- Track student performance and report any concerns to the lead instructor.
- Facilitate review sessions before exams to help students consolidate their knowledge
and prepare effectively.
- Create or adapt instructional materials and resources to support diverse learning needs
in the classroom
-Encourage student participation and collaboration during discussions and group
activities to enhance peer learning.
Qualifications:
- Proficient knowledge of high school-level biology concepts is essential for effective
teaching and student engagement.
- Previous teaching or tutoring experience demonstrates the ability to adapt
instructional methods to diverse learning needs.
- A degree in biology or a related field is preferred, ensuring a strong foundation in
biological sciences.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary for clearly explaining
concepts and facilitating discussions.
- Excellent organizational skills are important for managing classroom activities and
preparing teaching materials.
- A commitment to volunteerism reflects a dedication to supporting diverse learners,
including immigrants and refugees.
- The ability to foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment encourages
student participation and collaboration.
