DCSC Presents "HOLIDAY HAUNT" Hosted by the Denfeld Scooby Doo Club
We are having a cross site (Myers Wilkins Elementary School, Lincoln Park Middle School, and Denfeld High School) Winter Fun Night, held at Denfeld High School and are looking for Volunteers to help support this great event.
When : December 19th, 2024
Time: Event time 5- 7 Pm- ( set up at 4pm, clean up until 8pm)
It would be great to have at least (15) volunteers to help from 5-7pm in areas such as the Portable Planetarium, Craft and Stem Activity Related Tables, Volunteers giving out raffle tickets, Greeting guests at the door and helping staff where needed, (2) to help with childcare from 645-745pm, (2) to manage the Food/Clothing Pantry Distribution, (5) for setup 4-5pm, and (5) for clean up 7-8pm
At the end of the evening- 7-730 pm, we will be having a Family Listening Session and this is where Volunteers would be needed for ChildCare. ChildCare will only be provided for that session of the evening.
There will be dinner served also in hopes for it to revolve around a fun Scooby Doo meal presentation.

Description
The Duluth Community School Collaborative is a nonprofit that provides services in several Duluth Public Schools, including Myers-Wilkins Elementary School, Lincoln Park Middle, and Denfeld High. These schools serve families with higher rates of poverty than many others in the District. Poverty often leads to academic under-performance, and limited access to the educational, social, and cultural enrichment opportunities.
The Duluth Community School Collaborative works with community organizations and individuals to support academic success and well-being of the whole child. We provide academic support, enrichment, arts and cultural activities, employment readiness, health-related services, and various other programming to holistically meet students' needs at our three sites.
The impact of these services extends far beyond the walls of the school, benefiting neighborhoods, partner organizations, businesses, and the city of Duluth.
