Career/Employment Empowerment for Harlem Parents

Graham is seeking volunteers to support Harlem parents in their career and employment journey. Volunteers will assist in building job readiness skills, including creating resumes, cover letters, and providing one-on-one support. Your efforts will empower parents to take the next step toward securing meaningful employment and improving their financial independence.

• Location: Harlem
• Volunteer Time Options: (We are flexible within this time frame and we will work with you, 1 hour - 1:30 sessions)
  • Parent Café: Monthly on Fridays from 8:30 AM - 9:30 AM
  • Afterschool Sessions: 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM (weekdays)
• Role Overview: We are looking to split this role into two positions:
  1. Resume & Cover Letter Workshop Facilitator
     • Teach parents how to write effective resumes and cover letters.
     • Provide hands-on support in crafting job application materials.
  2. One-on-One Resume & Cover Letter Support
     • Offer personalized help to parents on creating or improving their resumes and cover letters.
     • Assist with job search strategies and interview preparation.
