As part of L.A. Works EMPOWER! series, we are proud to partner with Heart of Los Angeles in bringing this amazing mentoring opporutnity. You will be mentoring youth in HOLA's Youth Conference in Mock Interviews.

Why: The job market is more competitive now more than ever with studies showing entry level work experience more difficult to reach. Give these youth the courage, confidence, and skills to be competitive in today's job market.

Who: Our non-profit partner, Heart of Los Angeles is facilitating their alumni reunion conference and we will be facilitating for the first 2 sessions as a part of their conference experience.

What to Expect:

There will be 2 sessions with different groups of youth we will be mentoring. Each session will begin with a presentation about Interviews. We will then proceed to a breakout session with activities (mock interview style), which will be provided to you.

Resources will be provided to you once you sign up to refresh your knowledge on interview skill building.

Feel free to bring your knowledge to the table as well.

You will be provided LUNCH. You will be asked of any dietary restrictions you may have before the day.

What's Required:

Liability forms will be required to complete, which will be provided to you before the event.

The only other requirements is providing your time, you are not required to have experience giving interviews, or mentoring. We welcome first time volunteers!
