We are an offshoot of Above and Beyond Family Recovery Center in West Garfield and we have the same work ethic, appreciation for individual human pursuit and expression, and helping our brothers and sisters in need. This location provides groceries, toiletries, clothing, etc, as well as provides groups sessions, and peer to peer training for members of the community. We are staffed and operated by people with big hearts and deliberate intention to serve.
Volunteers will help provide Chicago residents with food assistance during a time of great economic hardship. The Food Pantry Volunteer will help make sure that the food is continually stocked, and the needs of our clients are met. This position might consist of bending and standing a lot, being able to lift fifty pounds, sweeping, mopping, and wiping down counters. This can be a fast-paced environment.
We are also open to individuals who are in need of community service hours. We are looking for people who want to help others in their time of need.
We are open Monday through Friday 12pm-3pm and always need volunteers before, during and after food distribution!
