Amber Hospice is seeking pet therapy volunteers with certified therapy animals to provide comfort and companionship to hospice patients. These trained animals offer emotional support, reduce stress, and help alleviate feelings of isolation and anxiety. Their presence promotes relaxation and overall well-being, creating meaningful connections during a challenging time.

Requirements:

  • Current dog health record (DHLPP, Bordetella, Rabies, and fecal tests)
  • Therapy animal certification
  • Certified liability insurance policy
  • Willingness to visit patients in private residences, assisted living facilities, and/or nursing homes
