7th graders at Stephen and Harriet Myers Middle School will be participating in JA this spring 2025 and will benefit from your personal and professional insights and viewpoints. We are seeking volunteers who can infuse the lessons provided with ENERGY, HUMOR, STORYTELLING, and RESPONSIVENESS to the students' interests in order to caputre the attention of 7th graders.
JA provides the detailed curriculum and student activities as part of the program called JA It's My Future. We also provide a virtual training so you will feel prepared. Skills include:
- career exploration
- reflecting on your own personal brand, interest, skills, and values
- job searching and interview skills, and much more!
Commitment is:
- Attend a virtual 50 min training
- Teach 4 - 6 45-min lesssons one per week in March-April
- Communicate with teacher to prepare for your visits
- Stay in contact with Education Manager as the lessons progress
