Empower change by leading our budget and fundraising efforts to ensure that fewer youths have to face challenges like skipped meals, gun violence, and poverty. At Season to Soar, we are committed to equipping underserved youth with the support they need to overcome these circumstances.

Join Season to Soar's mission to uplift underserved communities and make a significant impact on the lives of middle school-aged children. Volunteering as an unpaid Budget and Fundraising Chair, you will play a vital role in leading our Budget and Fundraising Committee and serving as the primary liaison to the Advisory Board for all financial matters. Your leadership will drive fundraising strategy, cultivate committee members, and oversee the organization's financial practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Budget and Fundraising Committee as Chair, providing guidance and support to committee members.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the Budget and Fundraising Committee and the Advisory Board, ensuring seamless communication.
  • Develop and drive fundraising strategies that align with Season to Soar's mission and objectives.
  • Cultivate and mentor committee members, promoting their growth and engagement.
  • Maintain regular and transparent communication with the Advisory Board regarding financial matters.
  • Assume overall responsibility for the organization's financial practices, working to allocate resources effectively to support program initiatives.

Time Commitment:

Estimated commitment of 2 hours per week executing projects in addition to a 30 minute weekly committee meeting. This position has a term length of 1 year.

Experience:

  • 2-5 years of experience in the accounting or finance field.
  • Demonstrated expertise in grant writing and fundraising required.
  • Excellent communication skills to facilitate collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prior experience serving on a Board is preferred.
  • CPA certification is preferred.
