Position Overview
The Respiratory Physiology Teaching Assistant supports faculty in teaching courses related to the mechanics of breathing, gas exchange, and respiratory control mechanisms.
Location: Remote
Start time: Jan 6, 2025
Time Commitment: 2 to 6 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
- Teaching Support: Assist in teaching respiratory physiology concepts, lead discussion sessions, and hold office hours for student support.
- Grading: Grade assignments, exams, and quizzes related to respiratory physiology.
- Lab Support: Assist with virtual labs, demonstrations, and simulations related to respiratory functions.
- Student Assistance: Provide clarification and explanations for students to better understand respiratory concepts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Physiology, Biology, or a related field; graduate students preferred.
- Strong understanding of respiratory physiology, breathing mechanics, and gas exchange.
- Previous teaching or tutoring experience is a plus.
- Ability to explain complex physiological concepts clearly.
