Position Overview:

We are seeking a Recruiting Coordinator (Volunteer) to support our efforts in expanding our pool of potential UX Designer Mentors. This volunteer role will focus on exploring and leveraging various recruitment channels to identify, engage, and attract qualified candidates who are passionate about mentoring aspiring UX designers. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in recruitment strategies, UX design, and mentorship programs.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Investigate various platforms and recruitment channels to identify where experienced UX designers who might be interested in mentorship typically engage (e.g., LinkedIn, Facebook, design communities, online forums, social media, professional organizations, etc.).

2. Actively and routinely search for qualified UX designers with mentoring experience or an interest in becoming a mentor. Reach out to potential candidates through direct messaging, email campaigns, and social media engagement to encourage them to apply or get involved in the mentorship program.

3. Assist with the initial screening of potential mentors by reviewing resumes, portfolios, or LinkedIn profiles to ensure they meet the basic requirements for the mentorship role.

4. Build and maintain relationships with potential mentors, providing information about the program and its benefits.

Qualifications:

1. Strong communication skills (both written and verbal). Ability to build relationships and network effectively.

2. Be familiar with or be interested in UX design principles and an understanding of the role of a UX designer.

3. Open to learning new recruitment strategies and tools.

4. Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

5. Comfortable with digital communication tools (LinkedIn, email, social media platforms) and basic database management.

6. Self-motivated and able to work independently.

7. Experience: Previous experience in recruitment, HR, or volunteer coordination is helpful but not required.
