Position Overview:
CSA is seeking a Human Resources and Administration Lead Volunteer to oversee the organization's human resources and administrative functions. The Human Resources and Administration Lead will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies, managing day-to-day administrative operations, and ensuring the smooth functioning of CSA’s volunteer, intern, and staff management systems. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a growing nonprofit organization while supporting its mission of social impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • HR Strategy & Administration:
    Develop and implement effective human resources strategies that align with CSA’s mission and values, focusing on volunteer and intern recruitment, retention, and management.

  • Recruitment & Onboarding:
    Oversee the recruitment process for volunteer positions, including writing descriptions, posting roles, screening applicants, and conducting interviews. Ensure smooth and effective onboarding processes for new team members, ensuring they understand CSA’s culture, values, and responsibilities.

  • Intern and Volunteer Management:
    Manage day-to-day human resources activities, develop programs that engage and retain volunteers and interns. Implement regular check-ins and feedback loops to improve the volunteer experience and foster long-term relationships.

  • Administrative Support:
    Manage the organization’s day-to-day administrative tasks, including office management, scheduling meetings, maintaining filing systems, and ensuring effective communication among team members.

  • HR Reporting & Documentation:
    Keep accurate records of HR-related activities, such as staffing, volunteer hours, performance reviews, and HR compliance documentation. Generate regular reports for leadership on HR metrics such as turnover, volunteer participation, and training effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in human resources, administration, or organizational management (nonprofit experience is a plus).

  • Knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and legal requirements.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on team building and conflict resolution.

  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to enhancing workplace culture.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar office management software.

  • Passion for nonprofit work and supporting an organization focused on community impact.

Location: Remote
Role Type: Volunteer (Part-time)
Time Commitment: Approximately 8 hours per week, flexible schedule.
