Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Fundraising Writer to join our team and contribute to our mission of raising essential funds to support CSA’s programs. This role is ideal for an individual with strong writing abilities and a deep understanding of nonprofit fundraising. As a Fundraising Writer, you will help craft compelling narratives, grant proposals, donor letters, and other fundraising content to inspire and engage current and potential donors, ensuring CSA’s financial sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Grant Writing:
    Research, write, and submit grant proposals to secure funding from foundations, corporations, and government entities. Ensure proposals are tailored to specific funders and align with CSA’s mission and objectives.

  • Donor Communications:
    Draft personalized and compelling donor letters, appeal campaigns, and newsletters to engage existing supporters, encourage contributions, and express gratitude for their commitment to CSA’s mission.

  • Campaign Content Creation:
    Develop creative content for fundraising campaigns, including online giving drives, event promotions, and annual appeals. Craft persuasive narratives that resonate with CSA’s target audiences and inspire action.

  • Impact Reporting:
    Write reports and updates to provide donors and grantors with detailed information about the impact of their contributions, highlighting success stories, milestones, and program outcomes.

  • Storytelling:
    Use storytelling to communicate the real-life experiences of individuals CSA serves, conveying the importance of CSA’s work and the need for continued support. Capture the human element of our mission to create emotional connections with supporters.

  • Proofreading and Editing:
    Review and edit fundraising materials to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency, maintaining CSA’s brand voice and tone in all communications.

Qualifications:

  • Strong writing skills with a demonstrated ability to craft compelling, persuasive content, especially for fundraising purposes.

  • Experience in nonprofit fundraising writing, grant writing, or related communications fields is preferred but not required.

  • Ability to conduct research and write tailored content for diverse audiences, including donors, foundations, and government agencies.

  • Excellent attention to detail, including grammar, style, and tone.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple writing projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

  • Passion for nonprofit work and commitment to advancing CSA’s mission to support vulnerable communities.

Location: Remote
Role Type: Volunteer (Part-time)
Time Commitment: Approximately 8 hours per week, flexible schedule.
