Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Development Lead (Volunteer) to join our team and spearhead our fundraising and development efforts. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in nonprofit development, fundraising strategy, and team management. As the Development Lead, you will manage a team of volunteers and interns, oversee fundraising operations, and lead the development strategy to support CSA’s mission. You will play a key role in building donor relationships, securing grants, and identifying new fundraising opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Fundraising Strategy Development:
Design and implement a comprehensive fundraising and development strategy aligned with CSA’s mission, goals, and revenue targets. Focus on donor engagement, corporate partnerships, and new funding opportunities.Development Operations:
Manage day-to-day development operations, ensuring efficient execution of fundraising initiatives. Lead and oversee a team of fundraising volunteers and interns, providing guidance, training, and mentorship to maximize their contributions to CSA’s success.Donor Cultivation and Stewardship:
Build and nurture relationships with individual donors, corporate partners, and foundations through personalized outreach and consistent communication. Develop strategies for donor retention and long-term engagement.Campaign and Event Leadership:
Lead the planning, execution, and management of fundraising campaigns and events, including annual appeals, online giving campaigns, and special fundraising events to increase CSA’s revenue and visibility.Data Management and Reporting:
Utilize donor management software to track fundraising progress, donor engagement, and key metrics. Prepare regular reports for the executive team and board members on fundraising performance.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, or a related field, with a strong track record in securing donations, building donor relationships, and managing fundraising campaigns.
Experience managing and leading a team of volunteers and interns, with strong leadership and mentorship abilities.
Strong writing skills, including the ability to craft persuasive grant proposals and donor communications.
Proficiency with donor management software (e.g., Bloomerang) and MS Office Suite.
Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple initiatives and meet deadlines.
Passion for nonprofit work and a deep commitment to making a positive impact in the community.

Role Type: Volunteer (Part-time)
Time Commitment: Approximately 8 hours per week, flexible schedule.
